Who are we?

We, at the moment, is just me. I'm John Clemens, a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). You can view my Google Scholar profile here: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=kIKFod8AAAAJ&hl=en . You can view my outdated homepage here http://www.deater.net/john. I'm studying ways to extract information from neural networks so we can better understand their uses and limitations. I aim to expand the list of researchers working on this project going forward.

When will Windows be ready

I'm working on it. It shouldn't be more than a week or so before a beta windows client is ready. But I'm a linux developer, so if someone would like to help, please let me know. I'll keep everyone informed of progress.

What happens to the data?
I intend to make all data available for download on the main website. Science dies in darkness.

On the home page, you need to have the data necessary for people to join and run work. I have tried a few things, but cannot connect my machines. Normally I connect this machine, and if all works well, roll it out onto one or more others.
I used to be a software engineer, the subject matter here interests me.

I'm sorry you're having trouble connecting. Would you mind trying again? There was a small glitch in the server for about 15 minutes, right around the time of your post. Hopefully you should be able to connect now.

I don't think they have a Windows application yet....just Linux. I'm in the same boat...I have my big cruncher attached to this project now..and is idle.

You're right. I read that the windows version was to be available "soon", a classic way of saying "at some time in the future, more or less, maybe..."

And as promoting our teams seems to be the order of the day, "Hej fra BOINC@Denmark".

Any idea yet when the stats export to the various stats sites will begin?

FYI, the master URL is always available on the account keys page on your user profile.

I love seeing projects like this and just happened to stumble across it from the status scheduler on Boincstats. Not a fan of the math projects out there, so seeing something different like this is refreshing! I have far more CPUs than GPUs.
Added my 100 plus threads - everything from Atom 3740, core 2 duo to Ryzen 3700x.
I know this has just started. Out of curiosity - Any plan to support AVX in the future? Or will it make much difference with these tasks.
My WCG cue should dry up soon enough - how are these tasks on ram and what can I expect for runtimes?
Super excited to be crunching here.

Tasks use about 700MB RAM while running.

Just a small idea:

I didn't see MLC@Home on my BOINC manager's project list. I had to use the URL to attach to this project. I'd like to suggest eventually adding it to the list (I don't know who would be in charge of doing this) so more people will discover MLC.

I agree about adding to BOINCs list (and I don't know who I would contact), but I think I also need to earn a bit more trust from the community with consistent WUs and better description of the science before I'm able to convince people this project is around for the long haul.

Part of that is happening now. I'm already talking to other researchers to move this project beyond a "1-person shop". Stay tuned.
