It should be *very* easy to port the MLDS application to OSX.. much easier than Windows. However, I do not have access to a mac, so no realistic progress will be made until someone else offers to help.

I would also appreciate a Mac application and would also be willing to run a test application on mine.

I've attached a Mac running Mojave and am ready to receive test applications with it.
I could easily attach one running El Capitan as well if older Systems are thought to be supported as well.

All, I don't have a mac to build on, so there is no test application, nor will there be any time soon.

What I need is a mac osx developer who is willing to port/compile/debug/test an application from source. Until a developer steps forward, there won't be any osx support. I have the desire, but neither the material nor knowhow.

As I am reading in this week's TWIM notes about the new ARM client to be rolled out soon, I wanted to ask you about any potential progress on the MacOS client. Could you already get hold of a developer after your recent tweet? Surely, I understand that ARM client was a priority, just wanted to get an intermediate update. Thanks

Sadly, no. the tweet got no replies. I think my best bet would be to wait until classes start and try to drum up interest among undergrads who want a project for class and have a mac..
which reminds me to speak to some of the profs around campus to see if they want to mention mlc@home to their students.

Hi

any news about this idea ?

Long ago I once tried to compile boinc test application (hello world...) on my previous mac (having installed XCode etc) and it always failed, even with support from a very good dev I know (but he doesn't have a mac)...

Unfortunately I have never been a Mac dev :(
