I changed my email address and Password on 14 Sep as the old one is no longer usable. I now have two accounts with different credits. User 564 is using the old address and user 2218 uses the correct one but with only recent credit. BAM does not show either account at all. Is it possible to fix this?. I can't change the address again as I am told there is already an account with that address., For info, I am trying to fix my Boinc Credits as it shows a loss of 2.6Million credits and does not show 28 projects that I have also crunched every project for the past seven days but still have CPID problems as can be seen. My latest CPID starts with 913~ the old one 854e was correct before I changed the email addresses and PW.. |

So, I'm sorry this happened, but I'm not sure we can really help fix this. We certainly don't have any idea how to fix your CPID issues with BAM and other projects. It stinks, but something you might not think about (but we do) is we'd have to find some way to determine you're the real owner of both accounts, and not someone trying to claim someone else's credit as their own? At the moment, we don't have the time to track that down. To be clear, we don't have any reason to doubt you, but it would take time to track that down, and eventually boil down to a judgement call (which we may very easily get wrong, if not this time, then next). Right now, we know that things are right.. credit to the old account is correct, new credit to the new account is correct. Tampering with that shouldn't be done without a *lot* of careful thought. I know that's not the answer you want to hear, but I hope you can appreciate the cannundrum we're in as well. It's a matter of time and priority. |

Thank you for your reply. You are right, this is not what I expected. I read your reply as follows:1. You don't know how to fix it. 2. You haven't got time Out of 28 missing projects and associated problems like duplicate account because I had to change my email address and Password you are the only one that replied that yo haven't got time apart from admitting that you do not know how to fix it. If that is the case, I would have expected that you write to BOINC Management and ask the how to fix it for you are loosing members because of split CPID and your project CPID is not recognized by BAM as neither the old or new credentials are listed and therefore I do not know what my credits are unless I visit your site a number of times a day to see if i received credits. In conclusion I have no choice but to discontinue crunching MLC until you tell me that you found some time. I would have thought that any Project Manager would welcome a user with 11 Computers crunching MLC with 214 threads. Since I will not be visiting this site any more, should you find some time, please reply to me via email to either or all: theseeker1942@gmail.com, petershane42@gmail.com or petershane42@optusnet.com.au You think I am frustrated and angry, would be an understatement. I must have been stupid for a minute when I decided to pay thousands of Dollars (My latest RTX 38990 cost over $6,000 alone) in order to help projects like MLC and all I get is I have not got time to look at all the details for I might be somebody who claim to be me. Good luck with your team if you are going to continue treating volunteers this way. I am sure you will not have many left.my team BOINC@AUSTRALIA will certainly will not crunch for you after this. |

Please note that these are the opinions of Cruncher Pete and not BOINC@AUSTRALIA. I am sure you will not have many left.my team BOINC@AUSTRALIA will certainly will not crunch for you after this. I am the founder of BOINC@AUSTRALIA and my I speak for my Team. Cruncher Pete seems to be very frustrated and I can see why as I too have a cpid problem and all my projects are not on my new email. I do not think this is a mlcathome project problem but a BOINC problem. |

If my Team does not back me up, than I shall wear the consequences myself... First of all, apologize for asking for help for I was not aware how busy you are and not prepared to help following it up. Secondly after near two weeks I still have 30 Projects that have not synced CPID. I am frustrated because 2.6 Billion credits is years of work and I can not see which project produced those credits.. Thirdly. Willy the project manage of BoincStats asked me to write to each project and point out my problem and see if they can help. Yesterday, Willy asked again to ask the projects if they have updated the Web Code to revision 21603. I ask kindly to please check what version your WebCode is on. Note that I have to ask this to 30 projects that are not showing up in BoincStats after near 14 days wait. Finally, I maintain that a project manager of any projects should never state to a volunteer that is helping him that you have no time for it only exacerbate the problem. |

The server code is v1.2.1, from the server_release/1.2/1.2.1 branch of the BOINC git repository, which is the latest tagged server release. The DB schema is 27028. As far as I know this is the latest release. |
