Posted 1 Sep 2020 by [VENETO] boboviz Post: Lots of time this week spend investigating why older AMD and Intel machines had issues on Linux, which turned out to be related PyTorch v1.6 using MKL-DNN (now oneAPI) and hardcoding sse4 as a minimum requirement. Do you think, before or later, to introduce an optimized app for cpu (with sse2, for example)? |

Posted 23 Aug 2020 by [VENETO] boboviz Post: It's interesting that you said you re-attached and that fixed things. I.. wouldn't expect that. Maybe clearing out the old client DLLs has an effect? I don't reattach, i only reset the project (yes, this operation clears the project folder and re-download all). Now i finish 4 wus without error and i'm waiting for validation.... |

Posted 9 Aug 2020 by [VENETO] boboviz Post: Just to be clear, there's a large gap between "we're working on writing a paper or two" to "we have published, meaningful, peer-reviewed scientific results". I know, i know, but it's fantastic, anyway |

Posted 9 Aug 2020 by [VENETO] boboviz Post: * We're working on 2-3 potential different academic papers based on the work so far. One paper based on the analysis of datasets 1 and 2; another one (possibly combined with the previous) on using out weight-space analysis to detect trojan networks hidden in otherwise benign networks; and a possible third paper/talk on the engineering behind building a distributed computing project focused on ML. One conference we're targeting has a submission deadline of late September, so lots to do between now and then. That's great!! Scientific results after few weeks of project!! |
